ABOUT US

Prayon Benelux traces its origins back to 1939, when Franck & Steenman was founded as a trading company specialising in waxes, paint additives and, later, zinc.
With an eye to the zinc business (LME London), Prayon Benelux took over the company through its Budel NL activities. In April 1980, it changed the name of its zinc business to Zinchem Benelux (mirroring Zinchem Deutschland). From then on, Prayon sold its acids and phosphates on the Benelux market under the name Zinchem BNLX.
Prayon Benelux NV was created in January 2002, when all the commercial subsidiaries incorporated 'Prayon' into their names as part of the corporate strategy.
